If there's a net better fan episode, I haven't seen it. Granted they have the advantage of using OCs so amateur acting is less noticeable...

Actually The New Voyages has George Takei as a guest star in one episode, that DC Fontana wrote. And Axanar looked like it would have been amazing, but the producer started trying to make money from it, and Paramount lowered the boom.
